Cathy Myers

With over 26 years of experience in the aquatic industry, Cathy has  dedicated her career to teaching swimming to people of all ages and abilities, with a special passion for early childhood water education. She has successfully owned and operated swim centres in Blacktown and Smithfield, and now leads two thriving centres in Bass Hill and Revesby.

As a Diamond-level teacher trainer, Cathy delivers courses across swim teacher development, infant and preschool programmes, disability inclusion, and squad fundamentals. She is driven by a commitment to high-quality teaching, safety, and creating positive, lifelong relationships with water.

Cathy has a particular love for teaching young children, and believes this is where the greatest growth occurs — taking them from clinging around your neck in the water to swimming independently. She feels It’s a privilege to be part of that journey and to help build confidence and life-saving skills from such an early age.

Having four children of her own, she has spent many years on the poolside watching their progress, always enjoying the spark in their eyes when they achieve something new. Now, as a grandmother, Cathy is looking forward to experiencing that same joy again and watching the next generation grow in confidence and ability in the water.
