Tanya has over a decade of experience in the aquatic industry, with various roles, including swim teaching, coaching, program management, and presenting.

Combined with a business and human resources background, Tanya developed skills and additional qualifications that led to managing a large health and well-being venue with Belgravia Leisure.

Tanya is passionate about developing great teachers and promoting the importance of the lifesaving impact they on everyone they teach.

Debby Tattoli

Sunday – Aquatic Supervisor Course

BIO


With more than 30 years’ experience, Debby is a Silver License Coach, Swim Australia Course Presenter, Swim Australia Advisory Committee member and asctaNSW board member.
An accomplished and driven professional, Debby has a passion for all things swimming.
As a business owner, head coach, active teacher and course presenter, Debby has expertise across a broad range of aquatic industry issues.
She oversees 5 Swim Schools with over 100 staff and is dedicated to providing rewarding career opportunities and professional development to continually upskill her team and the broader swimming community.

Debby is also the Head Coach of Kincumber Pacific Dolphins Swim Team and has produced multiple State and National Representatives, medalists and record holders.

Koji Honda

Saturday – Talent/Elite SWIM Coach Courses

BIO


Koji is a passionate movement scientist with over 20 years of experience working with high performance swimmers and their coaches. Koji has a passion and an eye for technical assessment, along with a fascination as to how the human body moves and interacts with its external environments and seeing its capabilities along with its capacity to adapt and learn. Through this Koji has gained extensive swimming specific technical knowledge, with a track record of working with athletes and their coaches to apply and implement this knowledge to enhance performance. Koji is fortunate to have worked with both high performance and developing athletes supporting the Australian Dolphins Swim team across both the Olympic and Paralympic Programs. Koji is currently the Senior Biomechanics Specialist (Swimming) at the Queensland Academy of Sport.

Nicholas Smith

Saturday – Talent/Elite SWIM Coach Courses

BIO


Nick is a Senior Movement Scientist at the Queensland Academy of Sport, with over 10 years experience in high performance swimming. His role is to identify and implement evidence-based movement science support for elite swimmers and coaches in Queensland to ensure peak performance at competition. Through his experiences at the AIS, Swimming Queensland and the QAS, Nick has developed extensive knowledge in identifying and improving swimming technique. These skills have allowed Nick to contribute to the performances of the Australian Dolphins Swim Team over a number of years, including multiple Olympic and Paralympic Gold medallists.

Ryan Hodierne

Saturday – Talent/Elite SWIM Coach Courses

BIO

Ryan has worked in high performance sport for a little over 12 years. He is currently employed at the Queensland Academy of Sport as Senior Movement Scientist at the Sunshine Coast Swimming Hub. Ryan has experience across multiple sports within the sport sciences both in a practical and collaborative sense, extending from youth development to elite level ability. With a primary interest in skill and technique development and progression, Ryan’s passion lies in analysing and recognising athlete strengths to facilitate in maximising ability. From a primary contribution to Swimming QLD, Ryan regularly contributes to the Australian Dolphins Swim Team across both Olympic and Paralympic swimming programs.

Rebecca Thomas

Saturday – Talent/Elite SWIM Coach Courses

Currently employed as a Performance Scientist at the Queensland Academy of Sport, Bec has over 10 years experience in swimming sport science. Throughout her career, Bec has had the pleasure of working alongside many coaches and athletes from the pathway to the Olympic team, providing them with evidence based knowledge and skills to ensure peak performance. Bec has an increased interest in movement science, in particular understanding how the body interacts with water and how best to capitalize and/or improve technique to enhance performance. Throughout her experience, Bec has developed extensive and specific knowledge in swimming, which has allowed her to contribute to the performances of the Australian Dolphins Swim Team across Olympic, Paralympic and Junior swimming programs.

Emily Nicol

Saturday – Talent/Elite SWIM Coach Courses

Emily has been involved in high performance sport as both an athlete and sports scientist for close to 10 years. Currently employed as a Performance Scientist at the Queensland Academy of Sport, she is passionate about working alongside coaches and athletes to further enhance skill and technical performance in competition. Engaging with athlete groups ranging from talent identification to Olympic Champions, Emily has a wide-range of experience to draw upon in the development and implementation of technical development plans. It is with this experience that she continues to support the performances of the Australian Dolphins Swim Team.
