Andrew Hailey
Aquatics Coordinator - Singapore American School
With nearly two decades of coaching experience, I specialize in age-group aquatics, guiding athletes from entry level to national medalists. I hold an MSc in Performance Coaching and a degree in Physical Education (QTS), and have taught PE across Elementary, KS3, and KS4.
My leadership experience includes managing large-scale competitions, building athlete development frameworks, and coordinating competitive leagues. I am an ICCE Level 2 Coach Developer, certified Lifesaving Instructor, and hold the CIAA Athletics Director certification. My work experience lies in running swim schools, squad coaching and directing 3 large programs. Currently I direct the aquatics program at an international school in Singapore which comprises 4 swimming pools and 4200 students.
My coaching philosophy is rooted in ecological psychology and non-linear pedagogy, with a focus on emergent learning behaviors. I’m passionate about supporting both athletes and coaches in their pursuit of performance and long-term development.
A former national swimming qualifier and age-group Biathlete for Great Britain, I bring a lifelong connection to sport and coaching.
