
Dr Rachel Harris

Female Performance and Health Initiative
Dr Harris OLY is a Sport and Exercise Physician passionate about patient-centred care and helping people exercise safely for optimal health. She specialises in non-surgical injury management, exercise prescription, and addressing medical conditions that impact exercise, working closely with GPs, specialists, and allied health providers. She has extensive experience with elite teams, including Australian Olympic and Paralympic squads, Australian Swimming, Women’s Cricket, and Rowing, as well as WAFL and AFLW teams. Dr Harris has worked at the AIS European Training Centre in Italy and has a strong interest in female athlete health through her role at the AIS Female Performance and Health Initiative. She also manages athletes from the WA Institute of Sport. A former elite swimmer herself, Dr Harris represented Australia at the Commonwealth and Olympic Games. She served 10 years on the Board of the WA Institute of Sport and is currently a Director and Interview and Selection Committee member for the Australasian College of Sport and Exercise Physicians. |
