Kirk Marks

A highly experienced aquatics professional Kirk trained originally as a teacher of Physical Education he has held various roles starting as Director of Coaching for NSW Swimming prior to the Los Angeles Olympics in 1984, this was the first Director of Coaching role in Australia. He continued in that role until after the Commonwealth Games in Auckland in 1990, in 1988 he founded the Sunrice Swimming Development Program and was the Director and Head Coach of that program till after the Sydney Olympics in 2000.

He is now General Manager for GOswim, which was established by Swimming Australia to provide learners with an activity-based educational swimming and water safety program, a role which gives him an opportunity to continue to pursue his passion to provide world leading swimming programs today.
