Remote Pools Project supports First Nations people to improve community health and vitality.
In remote regions across the Northern Territory, the public swimming pool is a vital community resource, that provides a healthy place for children and families to cool down in hot climates, learn water safety, improve hygiene, and increase physical activity, known protectors against the onset of chronic disease.
We deliver:
- Water safety education to prevent drowning.
- Community-led health promotion programs.
- Training pathways and sustainable employment for local people
